There's something about saying you're tired that makes people think you're not OK.
When did "I'm tired" become "I'm in a bad mood" or "I'm not alright"
Isn't being tired just that, a feeling that you get when you lack sleep or exerted too much energy in one day and need it replenished by sleep or relaxing? Why people go ahead and assume everything else in the book is beyond me. Is it because most people have a bad attitude when they're tired?
Also when I say I'm tired, I am not complaining, most times I say I'm tired and that's it. It doesn't mean I want your pity or I hate my busy life. I knew what I was signing up for, and usually I'm tired is my response when asked to do something that will take up the little energy that I do have left.
For example "Keesa do you want to go with me to get something to eat after work?"
Me: "No, I'm tired"
How people manage to twist and turn and extrapolate and extract anything else from that response is beyond me.
When I say I'm tired all I am is tired. All this "extraness" I get from people, which includes "you were the one who decided to put all this on your plate"...umm yea, i know that, and in putting all that's important to MEEEEE on MYYYYYY plate, I decided that doing things with and for YOUUUU was not....why is that a problem?
Anyway..
On a similar note, I hate when people say "you look tired"... is that supposed to be a compliment? What is the purpose of telling someone that?...If I feel it I know...so why is it necessary to tell me my tiredness is gleaming from my face? I never got that.
It's equivalent to telling a fat person, "you look fat"...like duhh!!..
Anyway...I'm tired but happier.
